Ruth Lesirge
| Ruth is an experienced voluntary sector chief executive, trustee and chair, now an independent consultant working with not-for-profit organisations. Her portfolio includes coaching for chief executives and chairs, alongside a programme of facilitated peer learning groups for Acevo and for the British Red Cross and other national organisations. Her range of expertise also includes Board reviews and awaydays, senior team management development programmes and organisational reviews.
She is an external advisor (not-for-profit boards and senior managers) to Rockpools and Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Charity Effectiveness where she is Head of the Governance & Board Effectiveness consultancy. Recent work includes an innovative Chairs co-mentoring programme for the Governance Hub, for whom she has also co-authored The Trustee Recruitment Guide. Other publications include co-authoring of ‘Tools for Tomorrow’ (a strategy toolkit) and ‘Getting Ready for Enterprise’ (focusing on social enterprise start-up) for NCVO.
With a previous career as an adult and community education practitioner/writer and principal, she is also a qualified teacher, with postgraduate qualifications in adult education and voluntary sector management. She is a trustee of the London International Film School and Bishopsgate Institute and honorary adviser to Citizens Advice Bureau Barnet.

Fiona Ash |
Fiona is a qualified and experienced HR & organisational development professional and a Principal Consultant with the Centre for Charity Effectiveness. She combines extensive practical knowledge of employment law and best practice in employee relations with an understanding and experience of wider strategic management and governance issues.
Fiona is a qualified coach and skilled in supporting and coach senior management to diagnose and identify solutions to business issues across a wide spectrum, including organisational analysis and development, change management, strategic planning and employee development. Her client base and work is largely within the not for profit sector.
She is a director of Working Chance (start up community interest company), supporting women ex offenders, a trustee of Mayhew Animal Home and Board Director of Barthelmes Manufacturing Company (Rochester, USA).

Ros Oakley |
Ros Oakley has wide ranging experience of work in and with the voluntary sector, with a focus on public policy, governance, strategy and fundraising. She has a particular interest in effectiveness and sustainability, is a Principal Consultant of the Cass Business School's Centre for Charity Effectiveness and a Visiting Fellow at London South Bank University.
Ros’ recent projects include an evaluation project for the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO); a corporate citizenship strategy for a top ten charity; a measurement framework for a major utility company; and projects for Capacitybuilders. She co-wrote the Good Guide to Trading (Published by NCVO June 2009), the Mentoring for Chairs guide for the Governance Hub (2007) and was co-authored of the Good Practice in Trustee Recruitment (NCVO 2006).
Prior to becoming a consultant, Ros was Project Director of the DTI backed sustainability project SIGMA where she worked with leading companies; Acting Director of the Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers (now Institute of Fundraising) and Assistant Director of External Relations at the RNIB. She has an MBA from the London Business School.
Ros is Chair of Charities Evaluation Services. She is a founder member of Net Impact London Professional, a network of professionals committed to using the power of business for social and environmental benefit.

Angela Eden | Angela is a Principal Consultant at Cass Centre for Charity Effectiveness, a Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock Clinic and a Professional Associate of the Tavistock Institute where she leads Work Study Groups. She has worked as an organisational consultant for 20 years, having previously held posts in the voluntary, public and commercial sectors. One consistent theme in her career has been that of working across the boundaries between communities of interest.
Angela has experience of leading community development programmes, management training and latterly has held posts as an internal OD consultant. Her current work focus is on improving communication between individuals or groups and resolving systemic difficulties. This sits alongside her ability to pay special attention to communication as a symptom of disruptive or dysfunctional relationships.
Her qualifications include a diploma in Social Policy (LSE), training in organisational consultancy (Tavistock Institute)and as a mediator (School of Psychotherapy and Counselling). She is a qualified teacher and published author, with a track record in research and writing about leadership, power and exclusion. She has served as a trustee of the Royal Free charitable trust. |
